Hope Clinic

I am about one half hour from leaving for Hope Clinic in Granite City. I am participating in 40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil for the end of Abortion. The beauty of this "silent" vigil is that we have the privilege of petitioning the creator of the universe to bring an end to the ongoing slaughter of the innocent. Many brilliant minds have addressed this issue in profound ways. I know that in the past, some have sat in front of clinic doors and "rescued" the babies. I know that many have attempted to change legislation and "vote in" politicians that could appoint judicial officials that are more sympathetic to the rights of the innocent. There have even been those who have attempted to use force to bring the holocaust to an end. Regardless of the method, innocent babies are still falling victim to the chemical and mechanical termination of life. Finally, with no other resource available, we turn to our Heavenly Father. We now go to Him and ask that He would stop the carnage. We ask that He would move in the hearts of the women who are choosing the termination of life over taking responsibility for their actions. We ask that He would press those who provide the procedures into repentance and renunciation of their despicalble trade. We ask that He would turn the profits into losses. We ask that government would no longer financially support the untimely and unjustified termination of inocent life. We ask Him to bring those who are considering ending their pregnancy this way, to repentance and salvation from their sins. Ultimately, without the movement of His Hand, many millions of His "Crowns of Creation" will be butchered and removed from the safety of their mothers wombs.
